Scary

Two police officers, the mayor, two council-people, and three others were shot (and possibly killed) in my hometown city council meeting tonight. Scary. Some whack job who felt his civil liberties were being violated (Apparently he was given tickets for building additions without a permit and parking un-licensed cars on the street. He went to a council meeting and was asked to leave because he was acting like a nut job, so obviously the council is racist ) went into the city council meeting and opened fire.

By the way, someone was killed outside of the pizza parlor where that piece of shit Michael Devlin (who you may remember kidnapped and sodomized two boys, one for four years, and was captured about a year ago) worked. Anyone want to go get pizza with me? This seems like a good luck kind of place to go. It's also the parking lot that's shared with my nail guy. I may not be getting my nails done anytime soon.
Scary.

bluepaintred: They're locked! They shot and killed the shooter at the scene, so no worries there.

Sounds like the guy was a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off...

Ohhh, sweetie. I'm sorry this happened. :( Can't lead life in fear, though, or else you're not living.

Doesn't surprise me about that area. The city and downtown part are bad.

I heard that on the news yesterday and I was like "what?".

Our local news has that beat in the "news so bad and weird it shouldn't be so common" category - where a 7-yr old boy went to the bathroom for a couple minutes and was found later hanging by his pants belt from a hook in the restroom-locker room, dying two days later.

How do you respond to that with anything other than shock and disbelief?
